Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic System Design & Planning
Conduct comprehensive feasibility studies for major IT developments, incorporating cost benefit analysis and long term ROI projections.
ÂDevelop and maintain the Enterprise Architecture Roadmap to ensure technology stacks align with 3-5 year business growth objectives.
Evaluate and communicate the impact of emerging technologies (such as Generative AI and Edge Computing) to senior stakeholders and advise on adoption risks.

2. Technical Specification & Standards
Examine existing business models and data flows to design detailed functional specifications and technical blueprints for new systems.
ÂDefine and enforce architectural standards, design patterns, and “best practices” across cloud (AWS/Azure) and on-premise environments.
Design robust test plans and disaster recovery protocols for complex system integrations to ensure 99.9% uptime.
3. Infrastructure & Network Oversight
Research, evaluate, and monitor network infrastructure performance to identify bottlenecks before they impact business operations.
ÂProvide expert advice on the procurement, installation, and maintenance of high value hardware and software assets.
ÂLead “Design Authority” sessions to approve or reject technical changes that impact the integrity of the core system architecture.

4. Implementation & Integration Leadership
Work closely with DevOps and Engineering teams to translate high level designs into low level implementation tasks.
Supervise the end to end integration of third party APIs and legacy systems, ensuring data consistency and security.
Act as the technical bridge between clients and developers to clarify requirements and define the scope of software and hardware provisions.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (RQF Level 6) in Computer Science or a related STEM field.
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in systems design or senior architecture roles.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in TOGAF, AWS/Azure Architecture, and Microservices.
