Job Description

We are looking for a disciplined IT Project Manager to lead high-priority digital transformation initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of business strategy and technical execution. You will oversee the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for our [Insert Department, e.g., Cloud Infrastructure / Fintech] projects.

Detailed Responsibilities

  • Project Governance: Establish and maintain project frameworks based on Agile or Waterfall methodologies. Lead daily stand-ups and bi-weekly sprint planning.

  • Financial Oversight: Manage project budgets ranging from £500k to £2m. Monitor burn rates and provide monthly financial variance reports to the CFO.

  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between technical engineering teams and non-technical business units. Manage expectations and “scope creep” through formal Change Request (CR) processes.

  • Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify technical bottlenecks. Maintain a RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) log and develop mitigation strategies for critical path delays.

  • Resource Allocation: Coordinate with Department Heads to ensure talent (Developers, QA, DevOps) is assigned effectively across multiple workstreams.

  • Post-Implementation: Conduct “lessons learned” sessions and ensure a smooth transition of the project into the Business As Usual (BAU) support environment.

Technical Stack & Requirements

  • Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM subject (Computer Science, Engineering) or Business Management.

  • Certification: Mandatory PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) status.

  • Tools: Expert proficiency in Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, and Monday.com.

  • Experience: 4+ years in a structured IT environment. Experience with AWS/Azure migrations or ERP implementations is a significant plus.

How to Apply

Interested candidates should submit a CV and cover letter to: career@arcturustechnology.co.uk and a “Project Portfolio” summary (maximum 2 pages) detailing three successful IT deliveries they have managed.
